Suggestions for improvements in Translation Interface

Reported by: colnect Owned by: ofer
Priority: major Milestone: 0.7 - Coming Major
Component: Parser Version: 0.7.0
Keywords: interface Cc:

Description

The current interface is not comfortable to work with:

1/ When you make a change to the translation and click next/forward you should be prompted to Save Changes / Abort Changes / Cancel

2/ When browsing next/forward, you should have an option to go only through orange/purple icons and not green ones. In a blog, for example, many of the general parts are repetitive and there's no use seeing them over and over again.

3/ The translation window should have a clear color indication of the previous state (green/orange...) so that I know current translation is human or not.

4/ There should be a next&approve mode.

Good luck :)

  • Priority changed from critical to major
  • Status changed from new to accepted
  • Summary changed from Interface very user-unfriendly to Suggestions for improvements in Translation Interface

Some work on this with [637]

  1. it is now assumed as save and next
  2. maybe
  3. the approval button is currently blocked on previously human translated phrases
  4. see 1

thanks

Replying to ofer:

@vgabrov, any suggestion about which keys to use?

a) left and right arrow keys
b) Enter button or Ctrl/Alt/Cmd?+Enter to advance forward

Cheers!
